The 'Oasis' is surrounded by unspoilt countryside, where herbs grow in abundance. Springtime flowers, including rare wild orchids give a riot of colour. Donkeys wander in the surrounding hills, and the birdlife is particularly rich in April and May with Bee-eaters, Hoopoes, Rollers and Golden Orioles to name a few.
